The perfect weather, stunning nighttime stars, fresh air, lush farm, delicious food, music and people made the experience unforgettable!! ..
I want to thank the Owners, farmers and generous organizers of the event, Michael Schmidt, (director) who did an amazing job conducting (along with Kevin Mallon), and his lovely wife Elisa Vander Hout (general manager) who both went above and beyond to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Incredibly caring, loving, kind, and generous folks created Canada’s leading biodynamic farm over 35 years ago and twice a year open it up to the public (next is December 6+7 Christkindl event) and offer a special and unique experience for us all to thoroughly enjoy and learn about all the beauty of their farm with healthy and well cared for animals, nature galore, combined with the diversity of people from all over Ontario, delicious locally grown and raised food (on the farm) and a talented ensemble of musicians who played 5 concerts, all made for an extraordinary once in a lifetime event that we will all remember.
It takes a strong community like that of Glencolton Farm to make this kind of unique event so successful and unforgettable!
For those seeking to taste a little of their heavenly farm (animal products, cakes, cookies, breads, and other fantastic treats), check them out every Saturday 8am-1pm at the Farmers market in Thornhill at @villagemarketatwaldorf
