TWS is home to various species of native plants including the beautiful New England Aster. Native plants are a great way to support the local bees, butterflies and other insects and require very little maintenance once they are established. Aster are a wonderful fall food source for our pollinators!
Did you know that the aster is also known as the Michaelmas daisy for their habit of blooming around the same time as the Feast of St. Michael on September 29th?
